Random pictures of Chelsey

Chelsey has been playing around with the camera so I snatched a couple of pictures and I am loading them to my blog. (Certainly nothing I'd ever catch Chase doing, taking pictures of himself, lol.)

Chase

Well, he was home and now he's gone again. Geez, I think I'm going to have to glue him to the floor to get him to stay home! He just returned from a birthday sleepover; and now he's off to play wiffle ball. I did get a hug and an "I love you". Guess that will have to do.

Visited Chelsey at Church Camp

I stopped by church camp tonight to visit Chelsey. She was a little bummed; bored...this year hasn't been the dynamic she'd been used to when she has attended. Of course I tried to remind her why she was there, but she's 11....only so much of "you're there for a larger purpose than just having fun" did she want to hear. I told her she'd be fine and I'll see you in 2 more days.

A new look

Wow, this sure looks better (all except for the long hair Chase had.) It had been a long time since I changed the look of my page, almost forgot how to do it. These are not some of the best pictures of my kids but at least they are a little newer. And by the way, Chase has had a hair cut !

Times flies when you're having fun...walking... 6.2 miles later

Ok, you know the saying, "time flies when you're having fun"? Well, I guess you could say the same applies when 2 woman are walking, running their mouths and the next thing you know it has been 6 miles later.....

Yes, my friend Caroline and I went out walking last night. We talked and laughed and carried on as we went... and the next thing you know we had been gone for an hour and half and we'd walked 6.2 miles. Well, we didn't actually know how far we'd walked until we got in the car aftewards and drove the route but that's what it turned out to be.

And OMG, can I feel it today....but we're lined up to go another 6 tonight. We've charted a different course tonight, one that does not involve gravel.

Chelsey off to church camp

I think would go to church camp once a week if she could. She's usually packed a week in advance. We got her all checked in yesterday at 3 pm; made up her bed and we got our good-bye kisses. I she is going to have a great time this week.

Shelby County Fair July 6 - 11

On Monday night I had to take Chelsey to the fair to check in her 4-H exhibits that she had prepared for the fair this year. This is her first year to be in 4-H so you are only allowed to be in 3 categories, but you can submit up to 6 entries for each category.

Chelsey participated in the following:

Dogs - she submitted a dog care basket - which received a blue ribbon and was picked to go to the state fair.

Scrapbooking - she submitted 2 pages, one for her 11th birthday and one for the softball season that just completed, they both received blue ribbons and they were both chosen to go to the state fair.

Photography - she submitted 6 pictures -

Rose of Sharon - blue Old door handle - blue Vine on brick wall - blue Old door - red Old Faucet - blue and picked as an alternate to go to state fair
